Final Reflection
I enjoyed writing for this course overall. I learned a lot, especially with the process of analyzing and revising my work. I always struggled with trying to find enough sources to help out my claims, but going back to revise and expand my essays always helped. I was able to insert more quotes or paraphrase that way, since there was more space to talk about quotes. Going back to analyze the class readings was also helpful, along with the feedback from peers.
The class readings and reading responses helped me a lot, since they prepared me for any major assignments coming up. They always correlated with the major project as well, so whatever I had to go over could be used for the big essay I had to write. These assignments also helped me remember all of the readings, and it was useful for when I had to go back and quote something.
I really appreciated learning about rhetorical analysis and writing a couple of essays on it. I think that the skills used for analyzing content are super helpful and make you a better writer in general. I used to dread doing assignments like that, but after reading about it and participating in it myself, I became more confident in writing.
Overall, this course helped me become a better writer by teaching me how to analyze text, revise efficiently, and to support my evidence with sources. Though writing will always be a challenge to me, this class has helped me gain a stronger understanding of the writing process.
